Once upon a time we remember having fairy tales read to us as children. Fairy tales do not have to be forgotten in our teenage years. Alex Flinn takes these fairy tales and makes them into modern versions. She is most known for writing Beastly which is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast and was made into a movie as well.
